What is full coverage ?

I am often asked by a customer for full coverage on their automobile. My response is always the same. Are you asking for the coverage necessary to protect your lien holder and satisfy the state mandated requirements or do you want all policy coverages? The States of Alabama and Georgia require that all licensed drivers carry as a minimum, liability insurance, in an amount not less than $25,000 bodily injury per person & $50,000 bodily injury per accident and $25,000 property damage per accident. A lien holder does not care about liability. The lien holder requires that the borrower carry comprehensive and collision coverage. As a rule the lien holder will not allow the borrower to have more than a $500 deductible.

There are several more types of coverage that can be added to an automobile insurance policy. For example : Unisured/Underinsured liability, Medical payments, Rental car , Roadside auto or towing & labor, Payoff covereage and extra insurance for limited items such as rims& tires, radios, etc.

I would welcome the opportunity to explain all of these if you have the need.

Interesting Political Read

REMEMBER JANUARY 3, 2007?????????????

*This tells the story, why Bush was so bad at the end of his term.*

*Don’t just skim over this, it’s not very long, read it slowly

and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out!!!*

*The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was

actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of

Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.*

*The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the

first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.*

*For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy

that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:*

*January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and

the Congress.*

*At the time:*

*The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77*

*The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%.*

*The unemployment rate was 4.6%.*

*George Bush’s economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of

*Remember the day…*

*January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House

Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking

*The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part

of the economy?*

*Unemployment… to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping

5-6 TRILLION dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and

Freddie Mac FIASCOES!*

*Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in

2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.*

*And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie

*And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?* *OBAMA and the

Democrat Congress*

*So when someone tries to blame Bush,*

*Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and

the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic

*Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 &

2009, as well as 2010 &* *2011.*

*In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which

caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got

tough on spending increases.*

*For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush

entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until

Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus

spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.*

*And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that

very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he

signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.*

*If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the

last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years,

and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats

in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who

voted for the budgets.*

*If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a

nutshell, what Obama is saying is, “I inherited a deficit that I voted for

and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.”*

*There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us

sends it on!*

Insure Your Summer Fun – Boat Insurance, RVs, Motorcycles …

Summer is just around the corner, and with warmer weather comes outdoor fun: taking your boat out, camping in the RV, swimming in the pool, or maybe a road trip on your motorcycle. Along with the fun comes the responsibility of insuring your summer assets, and it’s much easier to enjoy them when you know that they are properly insured.

What kind of insurance should you have?
Watercraft such as jet ski and boat insurance will be covered under a marine policy.
RVs (recreational vehicles) and motorcycles require an auto policy separate from your regular auto policy.
Swimming pools are typically covered under your homeowner’s policy, but require specific rules and regulations to ensure safety.  Ingram Insurance Agency can provide you with this information concerning diving boards, slides and fence regulations.

Ingram Insurance Agency can help you find the right policy for your summer toys! We would love the opportunity to become your insurance agent.  We are an independent agency that offers coverage from several insurance carriers. Our goal is to develop a relationship with our customers, learn their specific insurance needs and then find the best coverage at an affordable price.  Some insurance carriers allow you to purchase insurance directly – either online or over the phone from a customer service representative.  But we encourage you to give us the opportunity to provide you with local reliable service with a personal touch here in Phenix City AL!

Life Insurance Protection for Your Family

Which Type of Life Insurance Is Right For You?

A vital part of financial planning is ensuring that your family is financially secure. You probably need life insurance if there are people in your life who are either fully or partially dependent on your income, such as a spouse, children, or aging parent or grandparent.

What would happen to your loved ones if you were not able to provide for them financially? Life insurance helps fill the gap between the money they need to live in a financially secure way, and the amount of money provided by your estate without the insurance. It also creates an immediate estate.

What is the difference between term and whole life insurance?
Term insurance provides protection for a specific period of time (i.e. 20 years) at an affordable cost, while whole life insurance provides protection for your lifetime and builds up a cash value that the policy owner can withdraw or borrow against.

So which type of life insurance do you need? Ingram Insurance Agency in Phenix City AL can help you determine the type and amount of life insurance that’s right for you and your family. Call Lewis Ingram at 334-298-5626 to get your free life insurance quote.
